Lauren Griffin (she/her) is a settler artist from Treaty Six territory, born and raised in a small town just outside of Saskatoon. Growing up on the prairies without a cellphone, Lauren spent much of her childhood reading books and being fascinated by living things. To this day, Lauren considers nature to be her primary source of creative inspiration.
Lauren is an award-winning actor and aspiring writer who is currently training at the University of Saskatchewan in the BFA program. Prior to her university training, Lauren participated in the Saskatchewan Drama Association festivals for six years as well as many youth training camps at Persephone Theatre. You may have seen Lauren recently in the Greystone productions of Concord Floral (directed by Natasha Martina), Unity 1918 (directed by Skye Brandon), and Under Milk Wood (directed by Dwayne Brenna), or at the Fringe Festival in The Unforgettables (directed by Drew Mantyka). Lauren also performed in the Greystone production A Secret in the Wings and the plays Dust and The Hotel which both ranked best overall at Sask Drama Association provincial festivals. When not on stage, you can find Lauren out in the garden or spending time with her cats.
